I've never measured grid temp and don't care what it is. BGE puts their thermo in the dome, my kitchen stove mfg put their temp sending unit at the top of the oven and most recipes specify …1 · -

Only a recent convert to the reverse sear, but that's the way I do it. BTW, it's supposedly only suitable for 1 1/2" or thicker cuts.2 ·
